Great News For Young Organists

The L.T.O.T. would like to thank Stockport M.B.C. and especially Venue Management in agreeing to promote young organists by enabling the Wurlitzer organ in the ballroom to be used for practice and familiarisation free of charge.

Two Fantastic Heritage Open Days for the L.T.O.T.

The Trust's two Heritage Open Days both at Stockport Town Hall and at the Theatre Organ Heritage centre were a great success, with enthusiastic and interested visitors keeping volunteers busy, explaining the history of the Trust and it's achievements over the last 43 years, plus, tours of the organ chambers and computer rooms, and at the Heritage Centre professional and non professional alike entertained the visitors to much acclaim. Silent movies at intervals throughout the day had the audiences enthralled, especially the younger generation who had not seen silent movies before.

ECCLES TOWN HALL "Latest"

Following an in depth appraisal and an Extraordinary General Meeting by Eccles Community Hall Organisation, it has been agreed that, due to logistical and functional considerations, the proposed installation of the Christie Organ into the ballroom of Eccles Town Hall will not now go ahead.

The Lancastrian Theatre Organ Trust thank the committee of ECHO for the opportunity of submitting their ideas for the installation of the organ and wish them every success in this exciting community project.
